To restore efficient screen performance, Self cleaning intake screen system maintains screen cleanliness by generating a periodic blast of air through the screen assembly.

For certain applications, slide rails offer a cleaning alternative by raising the screen to the water’s surface.

This system has four primary components:

  • A compressor for recharging the air receiver tank
  • A receiver tank which stores the compressed air supplied by the compressor
  • An assembly of air-actuated valves and piping, which connects the receiver to the water intake
  • A control panel, for manual or automatic operation
